Erasmus+ Programme

Erasmus students 2017/18 - spring semester

My Erasmus program is getting to the end so now I can finally express my opinion on the wonderful 5 months I have spent in Poland. I’ve never been to Poland before, and prior to leaving Russia I decided to read about Krosno on the internet so I was prepared that the town is really small. But the life

here turned out to be just great, especially when it got warmer – here you can really find peace and have nothing to worry about.

But what impressed me mostly is our university. Of course, it’s not big again, but precisely this fact creates the friendly and homely atmosphere. The teachers and students were very helpful and I didn't feel like a stranger at all. The university also provided the Erasmus students with the classes of the Polish language and I did my best to learn some of it. I think that each language reflects the culture of the country and it’s advisable to know it on at least basic level, especially when you live in this country for some time.

The travelling is one more thing that makes Erasmus life brighter – I have visited almost all the biggest cities in Poland, and also some countries in Europe. It’s quite easy to go somewhere from Krosno, I would greatly recommend to use this opportunity, but of course only if it doesn't affect your studying process :)

I'm really happy that I’ve been here for Erasmus and I’m sure that I visit Poland again some time later.

This is the first time I came to the abroad and that's really amazing experience for me. It's pretty important to develop your English skills in abroad and here as well. Poland is really beautiful country that has a lot of beauties both educational and sigthseeing. I visited some cities of Poland which is Krakow, Warsaw, Wroclaw and these are bigger than  Krosno. I saw that every city of Poland has Old Town and that makes the cities nice.

To be honest the best Old Town is in Krosno. In Krosno, you don’t need to use transportation, you can go everywhere by walk. This is one of the best things about Krosno. Krosno is really so quiet and peaceful city. Krakow is bigger than the Krosno but it is really amazing. It has a lot of places that you can visit, spend your time.

I have some best of my memories in Krakow. I have Portuguese friends and first I went there with them and for the second time with my Turkish friends. This might be the reason!

Wroclaw also has pretty Old Town and there is a lot of entertainment. Warsawas, the capital of Poland, is really so beautiful. There are lots of museums, operas and this may be enough to go there! Briefly, I really like to Poland and I will come here again to refresh my memories!

Thanks Poland for everything!

Firstly, as a person who lives with her parents till now, I was super worried about living alone in abroad. When I came here for the first time, I was really affected negatively by the weather in Krosno. Because of the weather in Gaziantep which the city I live is quite hot, I have never faced such a cold weather before. We have seen approximately -25 degrees that we haven’t been used to. Also, the town was very small than I expect. However, surprisingly, the thing is that I will miss here a lot. Moreover, I learned that the sizes of city do not matter. The matter is how you live in city. For the first look, I thought that I can’t live here but then I really used to be here and whenever I travel to other countries or cities I just missed Krosno. I think the more a city is small, the more the relationship between you and people is huge. That’s way I call ‘my home’ to my dormitory room in Krosno. On the other hand, education in Krosno has many opportunities. Teachers and my mates are really interested to me and they helped me a lot when I had problems about courses. When I ask a question to one of my mate in class, they don’t hesitate to answer. Also, most importantly, I didn’t feel different among them. They were really helpful for me. I had really great time with them in Krosno and I hope I could visit here again!
